Where does small text actually work?+
Bios, captions, comments and chat apps generally render it fine. Small caps is the safest choice; superscript and subscript use rarer characters that a few older Android keyboards and some games can't draw. If a style shows as boxes, try another.
Is tiny text bad for accessibility?+
It can be. Screen readers may spell the special characters out letter-by-letter, and low-vision readers genuinely struggle with them. Keep decorative tiny text short, never put essential information in it, and offer a plain-text version when it matters.
What's the difference between small caps and superscript?+
Small caps replace letters with full-height capital forms, so words stay on one even line. Superscript raises letters above the line like exponents, which looks smaller but sits unevenly. For whole phrases choose small caps; for accents and footnotes choose superscript.
Can I mix tiny text with cursive or other styles?+
